Review

Open XML Editor is a very effective and handy tool through which the user can edit XML documents and it also consists of some built-in features like a XML tester as well as a DTD validator. It includes search or replace in text or hex mode and has some built-in features like a DTD validator that also offer support to remote DTDs.

Delphi 7 technology has been used to develop Open XML Editor, and it operates perfectly with Windows Vista Operating system. Moreover, the Open XML Editor supports Windows XP Operating system, but it doesn’t support Windows 98, and may not support the other operating systems of Windows.

Open XML Editor have many features which include support to XML 1.0, capability to load the documents encoded in UCS-4, UTF-16BE, IBM037, IBM500, IBM424, IBM437, IBM850, IBM852, UTF-16LE, UCS-2 , ISO-8859-3, ISO-8859-4, ISO-8859-5, ISO-8859-6, ISO-8859-7, UTF-8,windows-1250, windows-1251, windows-1252, windows-1254, windows-1253, MacLatin2, MacCyrillic, MacRoman, EBCDIC_US.

It has shortcuts for every command, which is very useful, and the documents can be saved in UTF-8. If there is any error then caret mark automatically points to that position, so that the user can easily find out where the error lies.

What’s more, it’s also possible to set the page for print and see the preview before print out, and the application also has many more generic features like undo or redo and reload and so on.
Advantages
  • Very easy to use, and has many built-in features
